I gave Kilgore my thumbs up. Now, let's hope that Tim Kaine wasn't able to fool more than half the voters (that can ran hard right, as soon as he announced).

Well, it's not like Kilgore ran a particularly convincing campaign. Unfortunately, I missed the debate, but I heard from friends (republicans and democrats alike) that he got trounced. His ads weren't particularly effective in communicating his message/ideas either. Attack strategies can be effective sometimes...but he didn't execute it very well anyway (not that Kaine's campaign was particularly strong either, but it wasn't as bad). I will say though that I was impressed with the number of signs his lackeys managed to put up on the medians and sides of roads in my area. If he's ever running for some sort of job providing leadership for meaningless manual labor...maybe I'll just vote for him =P

Let me know how your experience as a poll worker goes. I was a poll worker for a couple of elections & found my fellow workers to be dumber than a bag of hammers. Almost all of them were either welfare moms or semi-senile senior citizens.

If I get this precinct it should be okay. Most of the workers have been doing it for years.

I will be sure to tell all, though!

I voted.

It gives the fake printout (the print out verifying the results long after the machine has been hacked)

However I'm fine with it. The machine is a scantron based system not a Dibold touchscreen so you still have my original scantron sheet for hand counting if the specter of fraud is raised.
(If a Democrat crys "fraud" they won't be able to blame the machine)

My only complaint is the machine didn't do a live count however none of them do so moot point.

The real complaint for me is the privacy curtens were partal. Someone could look over my sholder. Of course I'd poke his eyes out if he did however it still violated the basic notion of "secret balot".

I voted for all of Arnolds agenda items.

Heh, almost!

It did, however, require about 3x as many poll workers.

A troubleshooting liason, a flash card dispenser and some sort of master control person for every few machines in addition to the usual poll workers.

That works like a Russian lightbulb joke, all those people to read what could be done with a pen and paper.
