Hitler couldn't do it, but radical Islam is!

AUBERVILLIERS, France - Marauding youths set fire to cars, warehouses and a nursery school and pelted rescuers with rocks early Saturday, as the worst rioting in a decade spread from Paris to other French cities. The U.S. warned Americans against taking trains to the airport via strife-torn areas ( Read more... )

The proclivity to riot is inversely proportional to the amount of guns held in the hands of private law abiding citizens.

Not to mention the ability to subdue a population, as well.

Your best defense is a good offense.

Why pick on a 50-year old woman on crutches? Because if she wasn't on crutches, she'd beat their ass. They apparently know their limits.

Go Home - Burn Africa or Arabia anonymous November 6 2005, 03:28:54 UTC
If you don't like the opportunity of living in France --> GO HOME!!!!

We didn't come to your country and drag you to France, you came here.

Either embrace France and love your new country or %^*#ing GO HOME!!!

You can burn your own town in Africa or where ever you came from.

Patience has a limit, at some point you'll get sent home (in a box).

Ah but you see, they feel that France should be their home, and France must change to accomodate them instead of the other way around.

There's the other issue: They were born in France.

These are, for the most part, Muslim children of immigrants.

exactly. send them back to, oh...

reality hammer - your solution to black inequality in the 60's would have been "go back to africa" once protests broke out. well done for showing no idea of what your knee's jerking along to.

go read "the stranger" by albert camus. written over 50 years ago. ponder on the fact that french society hasn't changed much since, except that there are many many more immigrants now.

it's not about appeasement, it's about equality. that's one of france's basic demands of itself, and one that it's been poor at answering.

My question is WHY exactly are they rioting? What touched all this nonsense off?

And a big LOL to minxyroo. She speaks truth. XD

By their own stupidity, two Muslim kids electrocuted themselves at a power station while hiding from the police (they were fugitives, I hear). The Muslim community blamed the authorities, it seems.

This got larger as a result, but has been going on at a lower level for months.

About 10,000 Paris police cars were damaged earlier this year before this went off.

yes - this sort of thing happens a lot more than is widely reported - it's the scale of this that's really drawn attention - but these communities have been tense places for many years.

one problem the french police have is that they are crap at handling protests - even farmers intimidate them when they're having a strike - laissez-faire should only go so far.

Dumping money into a broken system never works, as long as the management that broke it is still in charge of administering it.
