This has been my only real sticking point with the administration (well, besides their utter failure to show the good things happening in Iraq, like the schools being built, and the citizens starting to take fighting the insurgency into their own hands, but that's a tactical disagreement, not one of principle).
I'm not going to hold my breath. I heard "it's coming" all through the 1980s, too.
One good thing about Newt is that he actually constrained spending, even though he eventually turned around and gave that advantage away by agreeing to silly "compromises" on social spending.
Being able to pass out that much money is a very corrupting influence. I can't wait for a SC that will uphold the line-item veto.
If, by "SC," you are referring to the great state of South Carolina, then you may stand a chance. If you are referring to the black hearts in black robes, I don't suggest putting your breathing on hold while you wait.
