Garry McCarthy, Chicago's new "top cop", doesn't understand the very laws he's duty bound to enforce

McCarthy is literally turning the notion of "racism" on its head. He claims that laws that allow blacks to have access to guns is racist because some people obtain them via illegal means and some of those people kill blacks with those guns

If Chicago had any credible Republicans, they would remind him that gun control, in America, starts with the efforts to deprive newly-freed blacks of the means to defend themselves.

And if they and any Republicans with cajones, they would follow up with "So, Mr. McCarthy, why do you want to force blacks to continue to be the victims of violent crime? Is their blood nothing but a means to a political end for you?"

I have come to doubt that anyone in the political scene (or anyone that's the average person even I must amend) really understands what racism is anymore. They just use it to fit whatever their cause is or is not.
