I have to say that I disagree with you on this issue. That doesn't mean that the GOP shouldn't push for a legal framework to allow for same sex unions...but they should be frank about what it means to make this change. Of course the media will paint it in the worst possible light and say that the concerns are idiotic, but they truly are not and ignoring them doesn't make things any easier when the problems arise.

That being said, I am quite happy that the legislature passed the law. That works quite well for me. Much moreso than the judiciary deciding for everyone.
