A Breitbart "hoax", is it?

The leftosphere came out hot and heavy in defense of Congressman Weiner in the past few days, claiming (of all things) that it was all a hoax perpetrated by people like Andrew Breitbart and the usual vast right-wing conspiracy machine ( Read more... )

Such as who? Loopy librul enclave Metafilter pretty much called him an idiot and threw him under the bus, and was very similar to the response they gave the Christopher Lee scandal.

Or maybe you mean the Daily Kos thing? Yeah, that article is satire.

So who is supporting or defending Weiner now that he's confessed to being a scumbucket?

Reread my comment. I'm not saying people didn't support him at first.

All of those were posted before yesterday, aka the day it was known for sure that it actually was Weiner. Try looking for people saying similar things after Weiner came clean. Well, clean-ish.

Perhaps you should re-read my original post? You seem to be a bit confused.

I've been using the term "sinestrosphere" myself. :)

I "love" Chucky Johnson of Moronic Green Morons. As with several other lefties who defended Weiner and attacked Breitbart, Chucky basically retreated to, "OK, Breitbart was right this time, but I won't apologize because he's still a liar for other stuff." Other stuff? Like innocently passing on the Sherrod edited footage ... without knowing how it had been edited (because Breitbart's source didn't provide the raw footage)? And even though the unedited Sherrod footage still pretty much shows her to be racist-lite (Now With Lemon(tm))?

Amazing.
