The media likes to pretend that Newt is still a player in Republican politics. Why isn't clear. I suppose the MSM likes to recall the way Clinton played Gingrich over and over again, or how Newt managed to lose the biggest Republican majority in decades by catering to RINOs over the party base

The media would be absolutely GIDDY if Newt ran for the G.O.P. presidential slot. He's have their full support until he was actually chosen. Then they'd have the pleasure of eviscerating his policies, his track record, and his personal life. He should do the American people a favor and stay as far away from presidential politics as humanly possible.
