These are not some campus activists... I don't think they would decide to loose money for some obscure gesture. I'm very intrigued and a little bit worried.

I suppose that works out, after all, according to this guy, it's all propaganda the Israelis are after anyway!

They've been sending out email replies to different bloggers to clear this up this morning. It looks like it was just a reclassification of Israel as a developed nation, which took it out of the emerging market fund.

This is just one of the bloggers that raised questions and got an answer.

Plausible..but no one should be shocked by the idea that Harvard would divest given all the "boycott Israel" nonsense out there.

I think it's "trust, but verify" on this one. I'd like to see the other fund holdings and where they are this time next year.

Maybe they're just liquidating so they can make political contributions this election cycle. Incumbents are on the outs this go 'round, yannow?
