Do we have a list or map of these "sanctuary" cities? I'd like to know which ones to avoid like the plague at all costs.

Yeah, it does doesn't it? Don't know if our previous mayor (Nichols) established that, but I do know he reaffirmed it.

Quick question - what part of town do you live in? I'm in lower QA. Please note that you don't have to answer that - I'm just curious. ;)

The Democrats oppose the program because the illegal immigrants do -- what better way to get voted back into office come November than having all the illegal immigrants who have managed to get on the voter's registration rolls grateful for your help, so grateful they vote for you in job lots. Of course, there are great big holes in that idea, but between desperation and general idiocy, that won't stop the Democrats.

Two comments -

1. Yet another reason to *not* live in California or Washington, DC.

2. I'm stealing this.

I need a list of cities that are not sanctuary cities.

Each year San Antonio gets worse and worse with illegals and crime. You can't talk to anyone who has not been a victim of a crime in this city now. Be it purse snatching, car jackings, home break ins or breaking into cars.

I am not saying that all crimes are done by illegals but since this city has become a known sanctuary city each year it gets worse and worse.

I want to move out of here!

Pretty much anything *not* on this list (from 2007). Hope this helps.

I have a really hard time with people being opposed to this just based on the fact that police always check for priors, outstanding warrants, etc. How many legal citizens that have been murderers, robbers, and so on have been caught on the FBI list who wouldn't have if it weren't for these checks. Why the complaint in regard to checking legal immigrant status? It makes no sense other than being completely against enforcing immigration laws.
