And my former Congress-critter. Only Democrat I have ever voted for - he was a pretty good Congressman, actually - and pretty conservative. In the district I lived in, you couldn't get elected as a Republican - UAW, you know. Joe Arpaio reminds me a LOT of Jim Trafficant.

Also, RH, it's "MARCY" Kaptur, in Toledo. Not "Mary." I lived there, too - it's high time she was sent into retirement.

ETA: Tim Ryan, who's facing the Trafficant challenge, went to my high school.

I grew up there. That area loves him and probably will re-elect him, especially if he runs on limiting government, etc. A Republican has a slim to no change of getting elected there, especially with the way the district is drawn.

He's a bit of a nutcase on same things (Israel) but is fairly conservative fiscally.

Ohio is such a slave to the unions that the Democrats are firmly entrenched there, which is sad because it's what's been killing Ohio and it's jobs. Am so glad I escaped.
