I'm feeling better. Cold FX does work; I'll be damned. Something with a testimonial that actually deserves it. I guess this is why all the hockey players up here have shares in the company. ^_ ( Read more... )

I like your new fence (the color is really nice), but I have to say that I hate the lattice "shutter" things on the side of the house. :-P It could be how they just seem to be hanging there. Though actually in the second picture, the plants seem to have grown up a bit which helps anchor them. hehehe

There's supposed to be clematis growing up on the lattice shutters, but since we moved the pond over to just under the garage window, and threw in another foot of soil, the clematis spent all summer growing its way through the soil and is finally just climbing up the base part of the trellis just this past month. Next year, now that its reestablished itself, the lattice should be covered in vines/flowers and not look so out of place. Also, I plan on painting the stucco on that wall of the garage in the next couple of years, so when I do that, it'll be in better harmony. In this picture you can see the pathetic and spindly growth of the clematis this year.

Your yard looks lovely. I do wish at times mine were as contained as yours. Having probably an acre of yard it is hard to envision it looking like anything.(other than a large field) So glad that your 'working' again on things. So looking forward to seeing some of your brilliant art work!

Take care

Dee

Thanks, Dee.

But you've got such wonderful countryside to work will. All those lovely hills and little meandering streams, etc.

The next round of renovations outside won't be happening to next year, but I'll post updates as things progress.

What a differance that fence and beds make. It is a lovely colour, very rich. Cant wait to see how it all turns out. It will make a lovely private area for relaxing with a bottle or two of wine. :-))))
