So, has anyone else heard about 'Show Me The Funny'?

Sounds like it might be a good watch.  Alan Davies is going to be a regular judge on it, as well as Kate Copstick (never heard of her?) and a different guest every week, including Jo Brand and Ross Noble.  It's being described as "Masterchef for comics".  Well, I like Masterchef, and I also like ( Read more... )

And Stuart Goldsmith who I saw at Altitude in March 2010 and fell a wee bit in love with. And Tiff Stevenson who I've seen a lot on Twitter. So I'm looking forward to it.

I'm optimistic about it... I'll watch for Alan no doubt, but it'll be interesting to see how it works out. I like the idea of making the contenders stretch for new material - finding material in unlikely places under constraint.

I saw Monahan at comedy for kids, he does an excellent slow motion re-enactment of Postman Pat as James Bond.

That sounds fun! I vaguely remember that when I saw him his whole set revolved around a recent trip to Australia, and it felt a bit dragged out. Still, looking forward to this. :)
