In a way this reminds me of a post on a wedding blog not too long ago, in which a girl talks about how when she and her fiance first moved in, everyone told her it was so hard, it's awful adjusting, and when she said it was fine she'd get a chorus of "you'll see...." Which is absurd. Everyone's different, which means their experiences will be too. And for you? Knowing you, you'd regret it if you didn't go to grad school. So I'm proud of you too, for not listening to them and being true to yourself :D
