Housing woes

So, I don't think I've really complained too much online about my current housing situation, but this would be the time to do so. UGH Housing woes are the worst. I don't think my roommate is quite as bad as yours, but she leaves stuff all over the common areas. The worst part is the dishes. I had to tell her to wash her dishes before she left for spring break--before that they had been sitting there for three weeks. LITERALLY. I've relished the week of spotlessness while she's been gone...and dreading the moment she gets back, for this reason only.

The university system is completely stupid. Good luck looking for outside housing! I'm sure you'll find something decent. I've been crawling craigslist for Boston apartments (premature, I know), and there seem to be nice places available... Hopefully... (Or it could be that I'm just trying not to think about it.)

Hrm, yours could be about as bad? It's hard because mine is almost TOO nice, will always apologize for her mess once I call her attention to it, and will mostly clean it up if I tell her to once or twice...but I just can't handle constantly having to tell her to put away her groceries after she buys them, or to take out the trash when it is full...

I've already found a few places that seem promising but haven't gotten any responses to my querying emails. We'll see!

If you haven't tried them yet, maybe one of those rooommate services like roommates.com would be helpful.
