The first five people to comment in this post get to request that I write a drabble/ficlet of any pairing/character of their choosing. In return, they have to post this in their journal, regardless of their ability level.

Because, hey, I probably won't have much time to be fannish once I move in a week, and I might as well have some fun in the ( Read more... )

"he sounds tired, and sad in the smallest rooms of his heart"

(i would love something in doctor who especially, but if you feel so moved to write beauty and the beast, dresden files (pre-book six 'cause that's as far as i've read, horrible, i know), or something original i would be equally happy. i'm scared to repost but too excited to see what you'd write to not prompt)

Ooh, some lovely prompting! I will see where my instincts lead on this one, but at the moment my gut is pointing toward Doctor Who... :)

Fic - Time's Winged Chariot readingredhead August 14 2011, 17:19:46 UTC
He sounds tired, and sad in the smallest rooms of his hearts. She wonders what it would be like if he could delete them (like she has done -- will do -- is doing) to propel himself forward.

Read it over at Archive of Our Own.

I had really wanted this to be longer, but writing from the TARDIS's POV is hard! Also, I realized that a lot of the stuff I wanted to cover in this fic would work better from River's POV. Hope you like it!

oh wow, it's beautiful :) thank you so much!

It seems like an excellent plan, until she remembers the way it feels to have lost everything but the sense that something has been lost, and she wouldn't wish that on anyone. Especially not on her thief, who loses enough already. (Who might have lost -- might still lose -- her, except she'd never let that happen).

this is my favorite; the concept that the doctor "loses enough already" is so sad and true, but means that much more when coming from the tardis. i absolutely love how you handle the time line and subsequent tense issues (and i think the "might" makes this my favorite instance of tenses).

thank you :)

I don't have a particular prompt but you should write me more of your Miril. :)

Was hoping you would prompt this, giving me an excuse to write some early days Nelaid/Miril! :D

Aww, thank you! I really did love writing it. :) You're welcome to prompt for something yourself...there are still two more slots open!

Can you write Ed/Nita? Not romantic, just philsophical. Friendly-like, perhaps Ed before his sacrifice.

Sure, I'll give it a go!

Fic: Deus ex Machina readingredhead August 13 2011, 02:58:25 UTC
On the tenth anniversary of her mother's death, Nita sits in the dark and quiet of her own apartment and thinks about all of the people who have stepped in for her, at the last moment, and saved her life.

Read it over at AO3. Hope you like it! It turned out very differently than I expected, but definitely allowed me to work through some of my own questions about the YW books...

You could do it for original fic? Short short stories or your own devising? :)
