You WILL write. You just might also get paid to do these other things, too. You could always write about a teacher how has a midlife crisis, becomes an astronaut, and opens the first independent lunar bookstore.

That actually sounds like a really awesome story...I'm seriously considering a lunar bookstore-owner as a main character of a future book now. :)
