The vowels and specific pronunciations sound pretty neat. Though, once you get the hang of writing it, there ought to be some cool notes in the future. x3
I had never heard of Syriac before this! I am such a terrible person. :'D It sounds really awesome though! I'm jealous, I wish I'd had room to learn ancient languages, but alas!
It's completely ridiculous that I haven't seen you since you started uni, given I saw you more often before you moved here. Let's hang out sometime pretty please? *_*
I'd never heard of it before it got mentioned in my Myth and Cult tutes last year! But what really surprised me was learning that there's less difference between Classical Syriac and Syriac as it is spoken today then between Shakespearean English and what we speak now. So not only am I learning an ancient language, but I'll also be able to use it with native speakers! Provided we both speak slowly of course.
We just never seem to get around to it, do we? Tell you what, let's arrange to meet up during O-week. This subject is eating up my time like a very hungry eating thing, but I'll be totally finished with it by the time O-week rolls around.
That. Is seriously awesome. I cannot express. I would be so excited if I were you! *_*
Sounds good to me! I'll be around uni during O-Week anyway, since I'm going back to uni! Also I am sure I have used a very similar analogy to that, we are the same person.
