Hi, fandom, can we talk?

There's certainly seems to be an uncommon amount of bad characterisation around the Tsviets. I suppose it's inevitable. Dirge didn't do a fantastic job of fleshing them out, and half the time it seems that people haven't even heard of the Online Mode. Even with that, some of them are still shadowy figures. And that pun is only partially intentional ( Read more... )

Having actually sat back and read the rest of that (I only got about half of it during that first comment), I've got to say that I agree five MILLION percent, especially with Nero's bit. :DDD It's not that go in the opposite direction, but aside from "Matchstick," my headcanon Nero has never really been manipulative. Sounds fun to play with though. :D

Mainpulative!Nero is always fun. :3 Mind you, I have no actual proof that he IS manipulative, just an impression, but it would fit with his character, powers and environment. Or so I think.

And I'm curious as to what Bri's response will be to this. :3

I'm glad you liked it. :3 I'll have to do a more careful canon review at a later date, but it was nice to write out some of the issues that have been bothering me.

I certainly agree with your observations, especially when it comes to the Tsviets, but I'm more of a Weiss fan (Nero the second), its really frustrating that he has a short screen time in both the single player and online mode.

I do hope that in the next installment of FFVII, some questions could be clarified, like is he really an antagonist or the other way around?

Great post and looking forward for the next installment of your fics. ^__~

At best, I think Weiss would only qualify as chaotic neutral. He's not going to bow to anyone else's authority and the best that can probably be said of his attitude towards the world is that he will leave it alone if it leaves him alone. Judging by what we see and what we can infer of the environment he's been living in, he hasn't got it in him to be selflessly heroic.

I promise that I am working on them. :P
