CONFIRMED: I DON'T HAVE CANCER :D

So guys, some of you know that since this summer when my pancreas went insane I've been living with a tiny tiny chance that I had pancreatic cancer. The survival rate of that is only `17-25% if detected early. I knew I probably didn't, though, but I've finally chased up the results of the blood tests I had done 8 weeks ago- I think I was putting it

*hugs* I'm super, super glad that you don't have pancreatic cancer because YIKES! That's what my dad died of, but he was in his late 50's and an alcoholic. Yikes.

I'm sorry about your dad. My dad died young too. The first thing the doctors asked me when I had pancreatitis was how much I drank. I was like 'I hardly ever drink. Only on occasions if everyone's having a toast or something'. They were all, wow you're really unlucky. We hardly ever see this much pancreatic inflammation in someone who isn't a drinker. Um...thanks?
IDK what I would have done if it came back positive. I didn't actually believe it would be, but one night I thought, 'Hey, I had the same birthday as Karl Marx and now maybe I'm gonna die of the same thing as Steve Jobs. That's kind of ironic'. :S.

IKR?!? I'm feeling pretty lucky today. Which, actually, if I *had* cancer, it would have been ridiculously *un*lucky, but to be fair my great aunt died of pancreatic cancer in her thirties so, you know, it wasn't beyond the realms of possibility.
