What makes my heart clench in reading this is the fact that no one's figuring it out and Blaine seems resigned to this treatment. I want to shelter him from that kind of hell -- that's so terrible.

Terrific metaphors with the references to praying mantises and black widows. Creepy, but it works for the subject matter. *shivers*

Writing a resigned Blaine hurt a lot. My bb. :C

Praying mantises are one of my favourite bugs, but I think I'm going to have to side-eye them from now on. I'm so glad the metaphors worked!

Thank you for your kind words. ♥

Then he would be on his way out from making Kurt cry and ask is it me? and see a picture of Kurt's mother on the dresser, or his mom would pull him into a tight lavender-scented hug and murmur I love you Blainey and he would tell himself that everyone had times when they accused their parents of the worst in fits of teen angst.

I didn't quite understand how this all was worded or what was meant. fdjhgfdgfd

BUT overall this made my hart hurt and that's what angst is supposed to do so brava <333 I enjoyed reading it :3

Heh that's okay, I sometimes get a little lost in my own words (maybe I'll edit that). Basically, after breaking up with Kurt Blaine reminds himself that he's lucky to have his mother alive and loving him, and what she does to him isn't really abuse. Poor bb. :C

Thank you! I'm glad it had an effect heh. ♥

Ouch. So no one figures it out. I was sure that was coming. This is awful, but beautiful. Resigned, abused Blaine and totally clueless Kurt. I was really mad at Kurt there, though I know it wasn't his fault.

For every angst fic with a happy ending, I write something like this. Poor Blaine. Yeah, I know what you mean. Oh Kurt, couldn't you have just known?

Thank you for your kind words! ♥

It's actually more realistic to have no one find out, because his one chance was shot down by the person he trusts most. So why would he ever trust anyone again with that secret? Realistic, but still ouchie. You did an amazing job living inside Blaine's head, so I was sure his perception of Kurt wondering was right, even though the prompt called for the opposite.

Haha, yeah I reread the prompt after the story was half-written like, oh this should be from Kurt's POV. Welp. Blaine's my favourite character, so I like to slip into his head. I need to write some Kurt POV angst soon!

I just found out this fic... Oh damn, it's heartbreaking to see Blaine so resigned and unable to escape his own hell D:
Terrific great work ♥

Thank you so much! ♥ Yeah, Kurt was essentially his last hope and when that died he lost himself to his mother ... my poor bb, why do I torture him so much?
