Hi! I'm Rose and apparently I have just been voted onto the Readercon concom. (I say "apparently" because I live in New York and wasn't able to attend the meeting; but I have the news from a very authoritative source.) Among other duties to be determined, I'll be helping out with programming.
I'm pushing hard for a brainstorming email list (like the one Arisia has) and/or wiki, but in the meantime, I've got my inbox and Google Docs, and I'm not afraid to use them. I stress that this is not an official call for panels or panelists; there will almost certainly be one at some point, once that mailing list and/or wiki is in place, but this is not it. Right now I'm mostly looking to educate myself and get some good open discussion started. With that in mind, what would you like to see less or more of on Readercon's program, and who do you think would be nifty to invite to do panels, discussions, or lectures? What other program-related ideas do you have?
