Are the discussions for the chapters generally posted around 5 each day?

Yes, the discussion goes up at 5pm Eastern Standard time, every day including the weekend.

I was thinking of making a community similar to this one instead though we'd be reading Gaston Leroux's The Phantom of the Opera. I was wondering if this would be ok with you guys since you came up with the idea of a book discussion such as this one? I'd of course link back to this community and give credit to you for coming up with such a fantastic idea.

Haha well we are hardly the first to come up with the idea for a readalong, so by all means go! Read! No need to give us any credit haha. We're just big Potter nerds who like to discuss :D

Book 7 Discussion

I know that nobody wants to be spoiled, but I know that people who -do- get the book and manage to read it within the first couple of days of release will probably like to discuss it with this community. (I know I would)

Would it be possible to create a discussion post like we've had for each individual chapter up until now (but this one would be for the entire book), and people who want to be spoiled or discuss what they've read can participate in/read the discussion if they so choose? After all, it is a person's choice on whether or not to click the "Read Comments" link. >>;

I also think it would be a cool idea if, on the day of release since we are taking a break from reading, we have one discussion post for the movie for those of us who wish to discuss it, as well.

Just a few thoughts. ^_^;

Yeah I was actually thinking about doing something like that - having one post up the day the book is released and then as everyone finishes they can come and discuss it. And then of course a week later we'll be reading the book chapter by chapter together.

And the movie discussion is a good idea too, we'll probably do that as well!

Are you going to be making a schedule for us reading Book 7 together or are we just supposed to kind of do it ourselves kind of thing?

I won't be able to make up the schedule until we get the book so I know how many chapters we have and whatnot haha. But I will definitely be making a schedule.
