It's been a really traumatic week. Kathryn took me to the doctor on Friday because I had been up all of Thursday night screaming and crying in pain. I somehow managed to get a cut around my privates, which in turn got infected. Three times. So I have a vaginal infection, a urinary tract infection, and a yeast infection. My vulva is completely

My girlfriend may have a UTI, but she can't afford to go to the doctor's right now. So we get to play a game of "Is Alyssa really sick enough to warrant scrounging up money she doesn't have to ask a doctor if she has a condition she may or may not actually have.

$30 for a co-pay. Jesus Christ.

It's better to just get it checked out than have it turn into something serious. An untreated UTI can turn into kidney infection which will permanently damage them. Is she drinking a lot of unsweetened cranberry juice?

A $30 co-pay isn't that bad, and the antibiotics to treat her shouldn't be expensive, either. I know my co-pay for the emergency clinic I went to was $50, but for the gyno only $35. Just convince her to scrounge.

Not something she can do at this point. She's probably going to be evicted from her apartment because she can't make rent this month. There are more important things to worry about.

I'd offer to help, but I'm just as out of money as she is.

Evicted for missing one month of rent? That sounds pretty crummy. I had friends that moved to Seattle who didn't pay rent for three months in a row and were alright. But yeah, I really don't know what to say besides I wish her the best, hope it's nothing serious and hope that it doesn't become anything serious that will really screw her over.
