Clinging to hope that Coal's stiffness and inability to walk well or his lack of wanting to get up is just that - stiffness; there has been lots of romping in the snow the past two days. Overall he is BAR and seems generally happy ( Read more... )

He seemed pretty spry the other day, I'm sure it is just over extending himself with all the snow we've had and all the joyful rolling he's done.

He is usually pretty spry, especially for his age and the condition of his "hips". This morning he's a bit better, and I do think it's from playing in the snow.

Fingers crossed it's just the stiffness that comes from a combination of age and exercise (a combination I know all too well), and that he'll soon be fine.

That's what I'm really leaning towards - it's what the logical part of my brain is telling me. However, he does not have hips in the normal sense, so it makes me nervous.
