Hey, care and worry would be at the heart of it! The fact that he loves to argue and tell people how wrong they are has very little to do with it.

O rly?

Ya rly. Edgey's not totally heartless when it comes to the people on the community he's close to sort of likes can actually tolerate.

He's just the kind of person who puts up a front that indicates that he is.

Exactly! Only it's not a front, because he's totally stoic and a complete hard-ass who has no need of friends, obviously.

machine_purist January 21 2009, 17:40:45 UTC
...Well, he will be if he keeps up that front. :P
(Except for Wright, of course.)

Yeeeeah, his circle of friends dwindles as a consequence of that not-front. If he's not careful, Phoenix will be all he has left. :( And then he'd be very sad...well, moreso than he already is.

This is called a self-destructive cycle, Edgey. Fix it already, people are getting tired of trying. :(

He's trying! Nearly 20 years of damage doesn't get fixed overnight, you know! It would go a lot faster if he and Phoenix would stop being stupid about each other, though. >_>

We know it's hard! But if he could actually openly admit to the tiny bits of progress he's made, that would probably make people more inclined to cut him a break.
Whether cutting him breaks is a good thing is another matter. :P

Edgey wants no breaks. >| And you're too right, they probably wouldn't be good for him. XD

Riiiiiight. He needs to be CHALLENGED. :P

'S true. When he's so very wrong, yes. Yes he does. Besides, we can't have him getting too bored. Angst and self-exploration are good for the soul!

You just keep telling yourself that. Better than laughter. Trufax.

Edgeworth knows the truth, he doesn't need to convince himself of it. :| I don't know why more people don't indulge in it.
