I watched the first season and part of the second season of A Bit of Fry & Laurie last night. The first season seems to better than the second. Granted that one sketch on the second season DVD had me howling with laughter ( Read more... )

Ah the good old Cambridge comedy of Fry & Laurie. I haven't seen any of those programs for about 15 years I think. If it's those two you're after then I can highly recomend them in the Rowan Atkinson led comedy series Blackadder, series 3 containing a lot of Laurie, and series 4 bits of them both. English loved classics.
I could tell that an American had loaded them up (or a young brit maybe) as they called it 'Season' 2 instead of 'Series' :)

I don't really like Rowan Atkinson that much. Though I might still check it out just for Hugh. My friend Fuyu showed me the Blackadder Christmas Carol last year which was pretty funny :)

Agreed! Those are my faves as well.
You should really watch Blackadder to! In season two, Hugh gets to do a bad German accent again which, this time, is really damn funny. But apart from Hugh, Blackadder is still a pleasure to watch, even if you don't like Rowan.
... says the long-time owner of the Rowan fanlisting ;)
