- I'm liking my job at the medical clinic. It's standard AP fare, but still interesting to do. I only briefly worked with medical coding at Pac Med when I temped there before going to Perkins in May. This is more the full AP set, unlike at Amazon. We set up the vendors, update the info, enter invoices, matching packing slips with invoices, ( Read more... )

For some reason, it's very freeing to declutter my place piece by piece.

It is, isn't it? For now I'm going with the idea that it might seem early NOW, but when things get hectic, I will be happy I already sorted out my stuff. Especially since I don't know how much time I'll have to move when the time comes. Even if it will mean living in an emptier house for a few months, lol.

Yeah that is true. Though I'll still have my furniture around until just before I move. I haven't decided about my bed as it will probably be costly to ship it somewhere.

well most moving companies offer to calculate you what price you'd be spending - you could ask for the bed as well. I've been debating my mattress myself, although really, it's so old and I really want to move as barebones as humanely possible. I don't know.

then again anything I leave here will never have the same painful emotional attachment I have with Elvira, so after leaving her, I think I can leave pretty much anything, lol.

Any of the books that prominently feature Death in them (Mort, Hogfather, etc). I love Death's character because he usually makes me chuckle a lot :)

I'm glad you're enjoying work nowadays. It's about time you had a decent group to work with who don't make you feel like dirt. And I really hope they bring in a good person to replace that boss next month.

I really do wish you both the best for this Finland move! Moving is always exciting, and Lia's got a point about when it gets hectic. The more you can do months in advance, the easier it'll be when it comes time. I hope they get back to you on the details and stuff. Seems a bit irresponsible to leave you hanging for weeks. :/ But maybe there's something happening on their end that's getting things backed up. Either way, I hope you don't have to spend a fortune calling LA.

I'm crazy jealous that you got to go see Terry Pratchett. Neat that you have stuff in common with him for writing process! It's always cool to discover we have things in common with people we admire. I wish you could have been one of the people who got to talk to him afterwards. But maybe you can if he comes back before you guys move. :)

That's how my job is..we love to tease each other but we're still genuinely nice and care about each other (you should see our staff meetings haha). It's definitely the best work environment :D

It definitely is freeing to clean your home out..then you know what stuff is most important!

Indeed. I've realized that I've been holding onto stuff for no apparent reason while finding stuff that I do care about.

same. I have so much STUFF, and only a tiny fraction of it is really important to me. it's been eye-opening, at least.
