Gamer Geekery

It's gamer geekery ahead, beware ;)

So I got bored last Saturday and decided to dig out my neglected PS2 to work through the video game backlog I'd accumulated since last year. Three games were dug out and played with. I'm still only playing one of them because the other two pissed me off as you'll soon see...

It's a bummer you had a bad experience with X-Men Legends as I have some fond memories with that game. Though I pretty much focused on one character at a time and let the rest of the team do whatever. Micromanaging was a bit of a pain in that game. I can't remember if it was Legends 2 or Marvel Ultimate Alliance, but they eventually make keeping your team alive easier because when you use a healing item it heals your teammates if the active character doesn't need it.

I had never even heard of The Nightmare of Druaga, but it sounds interesting... up until the lost everything when you die part, that is. -.- I'm currently playing Demon's Souls on my brother's PS3, and that game has punishing deaths because you drop all the souls you've collected when you die and souls are used as currency for everything including raising stats. However, if you make it back to where you died, you can at least pick up the lost souls.
