Cell phone plea - boosting my own signal :)

Gah! Does anyone happen to have a Sprint phone I can have or use for the next six weeks or so, or know someone who might? My phone took a dive at the grocery store, landing flat on it's face. I fully expected it to be fine but turned it over and it is shattered. It's operational but not really safe, I've brushed several slivers off my fingers.

You're welcome to my old phones, but they're dumb and I'm pretty sure they lack GPS.

Could it get through if you put a screen protector on it? Or even a piece of clear packing tape?

I don't have a Sprint phone to offer, but I had a similar situation with Verizon a few years back, and Ebay was a cheap and plentiful source of cheap phones. I bought one, kept the packaging, and sold it back when I was done for about the same price. Kinda like a cheap phone rental :)
