So I got to get my vampire fan-girl on this weekend and go see Twilight with chelona .

Pico review is that it was very silly, but fun. I'm glad I wasn't expecting a great movie because I would have been disappointed, but it was worth the matinee $8.50, and it was short enough that I wasn't in agony from the seats by the time I was done.

I have to ask - did you enjoy the book, and if so, from what perspective? I'm definitely interested in knowing.

(I thought the book was pretty bad. I have tentative plans to get all sugared up and go with a pal to see the movie with the express purpose of making fun of it.)

Heh. I really did enjoy the book(s), yes. They were fun in a page-turning easy mindless reading sort of way that left me desperately wanting to know what happened next. If it makes any sense, what I most liked was that it came across as a fairly believable look inside the head of a fantasy.

I'm sure your public movie theater behavior will be appropriate for someone who believes in The Special Hell, but on behalf of the someone's in the theater who will actually enjoy the movie, I will say that it was VERY easy to have some good moments ruined by the audience. :)

Yes, I do believe in that Special Place where people who ruin movies will eventually go... That's the main reason why my make-fun-of plans are not being carried out in the first few weeks of showing. I want to go sometime when the theater is nowhere near full and we can sit in the back by ourselves and snicker and point without ruining it for anyone else.
