Ugh, the American healthcare system. A thousand times, ugh. I hope you can work something out before you go. And yay for slow cooking! I love those things.

I think we've still got it around. I've never cooked in it myself, but gosh some good food has come out of it!! Haven't heard of that community before sorry

Ours is the same thankfully. Actually I went to the docs when I was over in the U.K; not a hastle.

I know where I live, you can go to ER they will just bill you later. Most offices are $100 or less for a regular visit. Which, if your broke, really sucks. Tis the reason why the system sucks, can't get decent help without paying out the ass up front, until it's too late.
