The dog has been scooting his butt on the carpet lately, so it was time to take him to the vet today to trim his nails and "express" his anal glands.  Those of you with dogs will probably agree that nothing resembles horrible death quite like the smell of what comes out of a dog's anal glands, which is why I am perfectly comfortable paying a vet $

That's terrible!

The last time we were at +1's brother and sister-in-law's place, the sis-in-law, who is a vet tech, got a call from +1's other brother. She then spent 10 minutes or so describing, in excruciating detail, exactly how he should go about expressing the glands.

It was about 3 minutes in when I decided to offer to help with some manual labor that needed to be done on the other floor of the house...

It took me a few hours to recover enough to eat also.

But I got over it.
