Despite the fact that the Democratic Party has not settled on its nominee yet, the party has started launching attacks on John McCain (one more reason to dislike McCain is that my fingers still want to type "John McClane," which is irritating because I feel bad comparing the badass Die Hard hero to Bush III).  Here the party lets McCain debate ( Read more... )

- Except for those pesky elections.

As much as I think it is a poor solution, the likelihood of a Obama-Clinton ticket may be the best way to get a unified party. Considering that significant portions of supporters of each candidate are saying they won't support the other candidate come November, the longer this goes on the bigger the gaps we will have to bridge.

Meh, who needs elections?

I agree that an Obama-Clinton ticket would be the strongest imaginable and would probably be the best solution to bridging gaps in the party; I just think this particular scheme is pretty dumb.

Yeah, I'm glad she has dropped the whole experience issue. If people were really concerned with experience, I think they are likely to vote for the person with 20+ years of experience (McCain) instead of 2 or 5.

Hey, at least if we had a Putin/Medvedev like presidency, maybe our economy would be like Russia's: 3 years of 8% growth per year.
