It was lovely to see you too. It was a great con. And I hate that word too. I remember when a Filipina poet won some big poetry award in the US (brain is going and I don't remember which one it was but it was a major one) and one of the people said: oh, a good thing she looks exotic. As if it had anything to do with it. Ugh.

When Daniel Abraham wrote his "In Defense of Exoticism" I swear I wanted to burn things down and break his fingers so he would never write again. The links are a nice response.
