I bought my ticket to New Orleans for Phoenix Rising in May! Who else is taking the train down there? What are we going to talk about for eleven hours?
I am. It would be a good opportunity to plan what programming we are going to see. I'm more worried about the trip back though. Lots of tired grumpy people...
Have you bought your ticket yet? I almost emailed you to see if you wanted me to get one for you at the same time. But actually, I realize now that I probably couldn't do that, since I'm not sure how to spell your last name.
The tired, grumpy people will be in their private sleeping car, so we should be fine. ;D
I was just about to email you back with the train info, but I guess you must have already got it from Veronica. I will be on the train both there and back. I think on the way there will will have plenty of PR stuff to talk about. The train has a lounge car, so we can just take that over.
Yes, I forgot until 11:30 last night that I was going to try to buy train tickets, so unless you check your email first thing in the morning (or stay up late), you wouldn't see it, but I thought I'd give it a shot. I knew the dates and I'd even seen the train numbers, but I'm glad Veronica saw my email and was able to confirm them for me.
I know. I'm planning to knit, but you can only do that for so long before your hand cramps up. But we can bring books or taboo cards and maybe Sasha can entertain us by drawing HP cartoons. Ooh, we can write drabbles, too!
I can only promise 10 hours of me being in my usual entertaining mood. ;P
I'll probably be the only one on the train ride home that'll still have energy. I really hope I don't suffer the usual post-con depression (or at least not as severely as I expect to)
Interesting that you should mention that. I don't get it after Dragon*con, but when I left Lumos, I really did have post-con depression, because suddenly I was back in the cold world, NOT surrounded by all those like-minded people. I think there's so much variety at Dragon*con that I don't feel like we're all together, so leaving isn't that bad. Plus, it's in Atlanta, which is home now.

It'll be so much fun. I'll probably knit, crochet, or sleep thru the train ride.
