Ahah. :)
So I saw just a little thumbnail of a picture that I swore looked like Razzi from...ah...thumbnail size, I guess. The descrip definetly didn't mention Razzi, so I clicked it, scared for my life. Here it was- http://fanart.lionking.org/Artists/Jahova/AmberContestPic.png definetly not Razzi. Picture by the artist of her character- http://Read more... )

I think it's a normal reaction. I'm sure you know by now that I'm anti-anti-art-theft person. But even despite that, there have still been moments when I've been kinda miffed about someone reusing my stuff.

The first couple of times that someone copied me, I was _really_ upset. After that, I had less people copying me and I started to believe the whole problem's exaggerated and part of it could be solved with a better attitude. But still, even after I got this realization, some cases have managed to upset me (like one avatar being a photoshop edit of a picture I had drawn to someone else, and one pixel pic being replicated as an icon).

I always respected your opinion on art-theft a lot...I think its overexaggerated too much. But that's another LJ rant. ;)
Hopefully if it really -does- happen I can keep a cool head...just do one of those counting to ten things or whatever.

I don't think that's stupid at all. :D Being overprotective is one thing but protecting your characters is all good. ^_^ I think proper credit should be given when drawing someone else's character and it should be posted only if the original author is ok with it.

Aye, at TLKFAA art-theft is a big deal, character theft just as big. I think they make TOO big of a deal out of it, but it is a serious issue. I agree with you. I just don't agree with the crazed OMGOSH YOUR "CHARACTER" HAS THE SAME MARKING AS MINE THEIFFFF people, which is what I feared I had become. :P
