Day Three: A female character you hated but grew to love.

Jun 03, 2011 23:55

Hated though? Hated? I really had to rack my brain for this one, because I try not to hate characters unless they give me a reason no mater what the writing tells me. Having said that I fell into the trap for this one.

You don't need to behave like this; you can be so much better. )

misfits!, 30 days of awesome females, memes

Oh man. Yeah, I never really hated her. And she certainly didn't deserve to die. And I was super pissed at Nathan for grabbing her tit. The writing really failed there if you examine on the level that you just did. You're basically saying that the best way to silence a women who is trying to change the world is by sexually assaulting her.

oh gross! oh gross and killing her! I need a shower. I hated when Nathan did that. He's got a history of it too or at least there's a theme. He assaulted the healing girl (can't remember her name, sorry) in 2.06.

oh no, show. oh no!

Him with the healing girl is what broke Nathan for me. I don't care how much anyone says he really didn't do that because of the time rewinding, it can't be unseen. Because we all know he would do that.

There were other far worse characters that deserved their deaths in the show, Rachel was not one of them.

The stuff with the healing girl was disgusting. I hated Nathan after that.

She was so interesting! We couldn't quite hear what her story was but it sounds like she was bullied at school because she was a virgin, didn't drink etc. She did awful things but she was sympathetic.

Eden comparison! I agree, it both stems from not having a voice.

I also thought about putting up Jasmine from Angel to show a theme. They all seemed to be ended the same way. it's disturbing.

I haven't started watching Misfits yet, though I plan to! I'm really just here for the Eden love. She was awesome, and her origin in the comics was so, so tragic, but made a fantastic and chilling story.
