Author’s Notes: For
tokenblkgirl who prompted me with "Vampire Movies" unbeta'd sorry.
“One day, Annie, I’ll show you the full library of movies I’m in. I don’t keep them here because, well, that’s just vain.”
“You are always telling me that vampires can’t cast a reflection. How do I even know you’re telling me that truth about these movies?”
“Don’t you trust me Annie? Why would I lie about such things?” He popped another crenel of popcorn into his mouth, crunching loudly.
“I don’t know. To seem bigger than you are, maybe. Which is kind of funny cause you’re a vampire and can do all sorts of … Hey why don’t you sleep in a coffin like they do on the telly?”
Mitchell rolled his eyes. “Annie. Ever heard the expression you can’t believe everything they say on telly?”
“Yeah , but I mean … it’s all gotta come from somewhere right? And its not like we’ve had classes for it in primary. You go out in the sunlight, apparently you can survive without actually drinking, you don’t need coffin but you live forever and can even have garlic! I’m not seeing a down side.”
Mitchell stared at her as if she’d grown another head and reached his hand out for the disc. “The movie, Annie.”
“What! George is the one who said I should ask you. He got tired of my questions.”
“Were you bothering him when he told you to ask me?” he asked finally relieving her of the disc.
“I never intentionally bother George. He’s just too sensitive to … Oi then are you trying to say that I am annoying?”
“Well … not really, I never said.”
“Well, how else am I supposed to learn this stuff? If you’re not going to tell me I have to assume the movies are right. Do you eat rats sometimes? I mean for a snack?”
“Only when I’m trying to keep my figure up. Can’t have the fillies looking the other way. But then again I do have my Vampire wiles to fall back on.”
“You mean those are real?” Her eyes went wide with wonder.
“What do you think?” Mitchell said looking deeply in to Annie’s eyes. There was a long moment between them and he let his finger tips graze close to her knee. Annie looked down at the almost touch, before she smirked and leaned away from him.
“You berk!”
