This is fantastic. You really captured her voice and conveyed it in a tangible manner--which can be difficult, & even tricky, due to the nature of the fandom. But I could hear Elle thinking this and as an observer simultaneously feel for her and (with the perspective you gave us) know it's probably to late for her redemption. As it is, she sees her father's death as unwarranted & her firing as being unfair, both of which make her further regress into jaded childish views. Maybe it's not the message you intended to express, but it's just one thing I got from your piece. Loved it.

Sorry I took so long to respond (the comment threw me off a bit). Thank you. I thought the treatment of Elle was pretty brutal in the episode. Her feelings were hurt by her daddy and she really was trying to do her best. She Would never be good enough for her father.

Elle might have thought that Angela was being cruel, but I think that she gave Elle what she needed. A stern talking to and some walking papers. She needed to get out of (and as far away from) that place as possible.

Elle's mind is warped. Actually, WARPED (in capital letters).

I just wanted to show, from her perspective, what she thought was cruel behavior and not. She is like a little kid and just doesn't understand yet.

h, no need to apologize! My lil' comment threw you off--heh, sorry about that (though i may ~secretly be proud). I felt like her firing really flung open a dozen more doors for Elle, and I hope they properly do that storyline justice. In a way, I'm a tad more optimistic with Elle, as I hope she's not broken/warped beyond pair! But I'd totally understand if her character were to continue down the wrong path, and either way I'd love watching her b/c I love her. ;)
