Man, I had the weird idea that when he was speaking, I don't know...I get the impression he was trying to find out what was underneath that girl (the idealized woman)'s exterior through the crying, that it is more honest in pain...if so, man, sadist. :-) I'm trying to figure out if the crying was like that, or breaking an idealized version of something...Huh, though, this was a great look into Gabriel's unique personality. :-)

Have you ever watched Firefly?

there was an episode where they were trying to figure out what this company did to this girl.

they brought up a philosopher (Xiang Yu) whose there was "the way to truly learn about someone is to torture them". Thats where I got the idea from. :)

I haven't seen the series, but I watched the movie, Serenity, and did enjoy it. :-) (though I probably missed alot of the real info and good stuff brought forward by the series.)

On that theme, I've seen variations but the clearest thing I've seen on it would be from Audition (a really horrific movie, uh) where the main girl says "Words create lies. Pain can be trusted." Then says 'You only realize what kind of man you are. When you feel pain...' But that was a very...interesting character and really *disturbing* movie. Like 'Misery' on acid. O_O

I'd like to see the series now. :-)

I've heard of the Audition. I cannot watch it because I am afraid. I've seen one clip and I was disturbed, but now I kinda want to see it.

I have 'Imprint' made by the same director. Watched it once. Don't think I'll watch it again. It was muy messed up. O_O Muy!
