I could have sworn either NCIS, Law & Order: Criminal Intent or The Daily Show had established that, because remember watching 24 a couple of years ago when Jack was going to torture someone and thinking, "You know, they're just going to lie to you."

of course it would work on you. it works on everyone.

You'd confess to the Kennedy assassination if they asked you to. That's the problem with torture. It's not that it doesn't get results, it's just that the results are amazingly inaccurate and difficult to interpret, because the prisoners just start saying whatever they think will make the interviewer stop.
