all I want for Christmas is nutella

It's sad, but my hands were cramping today because I was... (wait for it...) writing with a pen. I know! Why? Why write with a pen when there are keyboards everywhere? I got through about half of my Christmas cards today before having to take a break to let my hands rest. If I weren't actually writing individual notes in all of the cards, I could ( Read more... )

Once upon a time, I had pretty handwriting. Those days are long, long gone. ;)

We found a bunch of large-print crossword puzzle books on Amazon for your Granny-- I figure that will be fun for her no matter if she stays at Jon's or not. I'd like to get her something else, too... but it's just hard to know WHAT at this point.

I'm not sure how we're going to shop for Zoe.
She's been searching the house for the last two weeks!
And we don't have trunk space to hide anything in.
She is far too sneaky for my own good.

That and I have no idea what to get her.
She is set on Polly Pockets.
I just look at them and know we'll lose most of them
before January is even over... sigh... I was so much simpler.
Every year from when I can remember = stuffed animals.

Do you know what to get the boys?

Oooh! Order online and have it shipped to Texas! That way Grandma could even do the wrapping for you so that Zoe has no chance to peek. ;)

And Polly Pockets... right up there with Legos. Millions of pieces!!! Invest in a big bucket. A cute one, so she'll want to keep stuff in it. Maybe?

The boys are pretty easy-- anything Lego, dinosaur or space-related makes them happy. :) We did Amazon wishlists and let them pick out several things to put on them, so that helped.

Up until this past weekend, I had also purchased zero presents. However, now I have purchased some. I still have a lot to take care of, though, and I'm going to be on a cruise for most of the rest of December. I hope people want stuff from the Caribbean, because there ain't no way in hell I'm going to a mall when I get back on the 18th. :D

I think ppl would love to get gifts from the Caribbean-- not only is it something they couldn't pick up locally, but you thought of them while on your vacation! Now THAT is love. ;)

PS, I hope you have an AWESOME time!

...but at least your wifey is helping out in that department!

Have you watched Better Off Dead yet? The mom just wraps up frozen tv dinners for Christmas presents. You could do the same! Everyone would be impressed!
