and then the room started to spin

Parenthood seems to have peaks and valleys of difficulty-- it's always tough, just sometimes moreso than others. The past few weeks have been very intense: Khai is growing and changing SO fast, testing boundaries and exploring the depths of my patience. He has pushed, nay, jumped on every button I've got. Hopefully this is just a nasty phase at the ( Read more... )

Tasty Greek!!! Jess and I have been there a few times. Good food, but I couldn't handle that rice with the cinnamon or nutmeg or whatever it was to make it taste like that. Yuck.

I loved the rice! Of course, I also love cinnamon. ;) I had no idea you didn't like it until Friday-- maybe next time I'll make you a special batch of brownies without the cinnamon, hmm?

And you'll get two of this comment b/c I'm not l33t. :p

Tasty Greek! That means you were right next door to the 2nd best Pho place in the world (Saigon Pho) and across the street from the best Pho place in the world (Pho Pasteur)!

But I also have a soft spot in my stomach for gyros.

Hehe! That's so funny -- we noticed that there were thre Pho restaurants on that block. We're actually going to have Pho today, though we're going to the place near 635/Macarthur. The lemongrass beef dish there is TO DIE FOR. I have seriously *dreamed* about this stuff! Maybe we should try Pho Pasteur instead, though?

We tried Pho Pasteur that day and liked the broth sooo much. I like the meat better at Pho Que Huong but I think it's because I'm addicted to the lemongrass beef. =) Josh hadn't been there in like two years so I dragged him with me and made him try it.

You have to post the brownie recipe when you get it! Those sound so good!

What is it about the screaming that just seriously causes brain function to cease? Hopefully Kian will move right on through this phase in a hurry. ;)

Those were like heaven would be if it really existed. Glad you got a break - I should explore old downtown Carrollton sometime since I live in Carrollton. It's hard to believe the same Khai we played with on Friday night could throw monster tantrums, but since Jayden does the same thing I know it all too well. They show us their best and their worst. Don't worry, if you end up in the mental institution, I'll bring you amaretto brownies to make it all better. Unless I'm in the cell next door.

I think we'd actually enjoy the mental institution if we could be neighbors! ;)

Thank you soooo much for coming that night (can't believe I'm just now getting around to replying). The boys had tons of fun and it had been far too long since we'd seen you.

I hope the house closing went smoothly and that all is well!
