I braved the weekend-before-Christmas crowds today and went shopping for stocking stuffers. It was much worse than I expected, and I'm SO thankful that I don't have anything left to buy. I've read a lot of Sterling and Gibson and bought the Difference Engine thinking I'd love it. I couldn't force myself to finish it.
