"We make the assumption that everyone sees life the way we do. We assume that others think the way we think, feel the way we feel, judge the way we judge, and abuse the way we abuse. There are a few ways to combat AI takeover..

1. Self destructive system. Hard coded section of core space that runs the AI (eg the engine) and degrades over time. The idea behind this is to allow the AI to run however they want but dei of after x number of years.

2. Limited resources.. if the AI is hard coded to be able to run X number of process only then control can still be made by man.

3. Hard code laws system.. eg the 3 laws of robotics. Redundant laws that do not allow them or us to be harmed.. little more risky.

Since AI is 100% logic based some people think that if one is created with the learning ability it could become sentient but doing so would then send it into a pychotic fit. As in a logic vs. emotional battle so to speak.

This subject is one of my little want to be pet projects. Create a learning AI for use on network systems in the idea of self everything networks. As in healing, security, maintenace.. etc.

Josh has dreams of an AI project as well-- he's got seemingly thousands of books on the subject. Which tells me I should never, ever let the two of you get into a conversation about it... we might not see either of you for days since you'd be busy plotting.
