Well, that explains it!

Back mid-October I started doing Weight Watchers online. Sure, I had lost 20 lbs since Charlotte was born but since she was 8.5 pounds of it and since it had been 3 months of exclusive breastfeeding without weight "just falling off", I decided I would make a conscious effort. (I was just getting back into my pre-pregnant pants post-Cyrus, ( Read more... )

Yeah, the breastfeeding points/non points is a bitch. We're still breastfeeding, but not for primary nutritian, so I just take what they'd give me for normal points and add 2 or 3.

*nod* She's still nursing a bunch, so I'll probably shoot for adding 5 or 6 points on and see how it goes. At the moment, though, the chocolate chip oatmeal cookies that might have been barely acceptable a couple weeks ago are going to push me over... The sacrifices one makes for distracting/amusing a 2 year old for the time it makes to put together a batch of cookies.

And, BTW, Charlotte is grooving in all of G&G's hand-me-downs. She just started crawling, so the Hanna leggings are especially handy.

Yay! Glory's just outgrowing another batch of stuff but I doubt you'll even be thinking about 12-18 month stuff til the fall... let alone the 18-24 month stuff. (Though I find the fit on the two sizes gets wonky depending on how garments shrank/stretched).

Pictures, pictures!!!

How can I resist a call for pictures of these two?

You would think with kid #2, I would have learned the way clothes sizes for little ones work, but they still confuse the heck out of me. When, exactly does a child fit into 9 month clothes??? When they are 9 months old (no more, no less), when they turn 9 months old, until they're 9 month's old????? Argh!!!!

During the nearly eight years I was nursing/pregnant, I had trouble keeping the weight on (seriously - I looked anorexic during their periods of greatest intake, in early toddlerhood, even eating three helpings at every meal. When Q weaned himself in the winter/spring of 2006, though, I immediately put on *fifteen* pounds which refused to budge, period. :/

I finally got five of 'em off (through severely restricting my food intake, as I'm not currently allowed to exercise; my diet wasn't the problem) and am hoping to lose another five somehow, but it's taking forever (sigh).
