...Hey, am I the only one seeing this... box thing? I ran into some monsters, but then I couldn't move and this weird box with words and stuff on it appeared...

monsters, event: it's such a strange game, turn-based combat, how do i rpg?, wtf

No, I see one. I hope HP is a good thing, because I have a lot of that, and very little MP.

When I got hit, it went down a little, so I think it deals with how tough you are?

Just select attack. It's almost fun. The rest of these options I have no time for.

I have to just stand here and do nothing when these stupid monsters gang up on me! How is that fun at all?

I could use a better variety of attacks when I chose Skills instead of Attack, but then the number beside SP went down. I wish this came with a manual or something.

Perhaps I've been lucky in finding enemies so much weaker than myself it hasn't mattered.

Nn. A manual would be nice. But now I don't even have to ask the closet for monsters. They come to me instead.

I had a feeling the mansion would do something like this sooner or later. It'd be a hell of a lot easier without all these stupid menus, though.
