LOL. If it were at our old house, I'm sure my mother would have used a more colorful vocabulary, but my grandma is a Southern Baptist, and we really try to avoid taking the Lord's name in vain before her... I had to get out of the habit of yelling Jesus Christ when I burned myself, because the excuse, "I was just praying that it wouldn't be so bad," didn't go over too well! XD
Um... hi! ^^; I was looking through my profile just now, and noticed that you added me as a friend. So... naturally, I had to look at your profile too, haha.
When I saw the schools listed in your profile, my mind was blown (to say the least!). I attended Tabb Middle from 2000 to 2002, so I guess our time there must have overlapped at some point! :O I went to York High, though, instead of Tabb High (IB, ugh).
Anyway, hope you don't mind if I add you as a friend! You seem interesting! :D
I added you from the pkmncollectors friending meme, but I lost my nerve to comment on your post! Sorry. XD I get anxious about talking to people on the Internet for the first time sometimes
( ... )
Yeah, I've seen you around on pkmncollectors, so I wasn't freaked out or anything. XD; I was just like, "Wait, did she reply to my friending meme post and I missed her comment?" I get really nervous around new people as well, so it's all good! ^^
Yes, I remember your father. I can't say I ever talked to him before, but I suppose that's a good thing considering his job at the time. XD You didn't miss out much on not doing IB, trust me, especially if you love languages so much. Our Spanish and French teachers were TERRIBLE. I took French and we went through three teachers during my four years. I hardly learned anything. :( I took elementary level Japanese during my last two semesters at VT, and I really enjoyed it! I wish I had started earlier.
I had to look up where Culpeper is. XD But yeah, that's really close (relatively)! If you don't mind me asking, what do you do over there? :3
Haha, yeah. That's how it was for a lot of people. I'm glad I didn't go then! Languages are a huge pert of my life! XD I'm sure you read about it in my bio.
My grandmother had a stroke behind her eyes that left her legally blind a few years ago. A medication they gave her was slowly killing her, so my mom moved from Yorktown to grandma's house in Culpeper to take care of her. Dad and I both move here eventually too. I moved here in May after graduation. I'm working on getting into grad school. Right now, I'm reading a few books and am going to work on a paper about them for a good writing sample for my applications. I'm really not doing much. It gets kinda lonely sometimes, since I can't drive. I'm also working on growing as a person, since I have time to think about life and what really matters to me and what I want for my future.
