I just got a call from a man at the biggest plumbing shop in town (the first place I dropped off my resume to) who gave me a quick pre-interview and told me that while they're not currently hiring, they are about to assign their last batch of hires to various departments and my resume is being put into the pile to be called for interviews as soon
