So, on Thursday James and I will have been together for one year. Holy crap, it's been a year since the "Inevitable Betrayal" t-shirt got me asked out (Okay, it actually wasn't the shirt, but he still thinks the shirt is awesome).

We have dinner reservations at a really nice restaurant in town, G and P Steakhouse. Check it out, we ate there once ( Read more... )

I think that eventually anyone with a lot of tattoos is going to hit that one tattoo that just didn't turn out that great. What I did was, I used that ProFade thing (in the US it's called Tattoo-B-Gone and there are other brands), and a silicone-based scar healing cream (Derma.. I forget). They are expensive, but after one month, quite a bit of the color had come out, and the scar loosened up. Then I went to get a cover-up, after which the scarred skin just fell out, and now the skin is healthy again, with an improved picture. You could also try the laser, but it's very likely that it will leave a scar. Anyway, the point is, get the color to fade enough for it to be covered up.

Oh and maybe check them out too http://www.tat2x.com/tattoo-cover-sleeves.html
Great for covering up those gross healing tattoos, just put some saran wrap or a cloth bandage under it.

The sleeve looks like a good idea. I don't think I hate the tattoo enough to try to fade it and have it covered up; at the most I'd want to do that to just a few portions of the text and I'd be worried about trying as the text is the darkest part of the whole piece. But I'll look into it if it bothers me too much, for sure.
